Today we covered a substitution exercise to get the concepts of sentence formation and plural (बहुवचन).  Also revised that for feminine words plural for words ending in ई, इ, इया ends in low इ and यां as in रोटी - रोटियां etc.  Words ending in a consonant / vowel other than ई, इ, इया have the plural form ending in as "aain" in किताबें.  Words ending in sound of ऊ have their plural form ending in "aain" as in झाड़ुएँ

Also revised pronouns in first, second and third person.  Please have the children review them so that they have the correct sentence formation.

There will be a midterm test on 1/3.  The test will cover pronouns, ekvachan and bahuvachan,  लिंग, the chapters on baagh and bhalu (meanings and simple question and answers).  Also please write 20 words with their meanings on flash cards.

The mid term will also include a reading test.  Midterm should not be missed and if you cannot do it on 1/3, you may have to do it the following week.  We cannot have children continuing if they miss the midterm.

Hari Om Parents!

We covered a poem on सर्दी का मौसम.  Gave them the meaning for the poem.

We also gave a translation exercise on using plurals for masculine words ending in the sound of आ like कला, माला, पपीता etc.  All listed the compound letters in Hindi alphabets.

Covered conjunct akshar where some are written horizontally and a few vertically like चिट्ठी

Some masculine nouns ending in आ may not have a plural form.  Like चाचा, देवता, राजा, मामा etc.

The homework for this week is to write a paragraph (5 sentences minimum):
